General Manager

Mr. G.

I was born in Colombia and have been actively diving for the past 20 years.  I have been dedicated to teaching and education since 2004 since I finished my university degree in ecology.  I took my first technical diving course in 2004, and became one of the first technical divers in Colombia.  In 2007, I joined Global Underwater Explorers (GUE) and moved to Bonaire.  On Bonaire, I led the highly successful development of Bonaire TeK and  Operation CCCR events.  All this time, I have been dedicated to position the island on the world technical diver map. This was a challenge as the island was only well known as a recreational divers destination and paradise. However, Bonaire has proven its worth as a prime tech diving destination with optimal training conditions and exploration opportunities.

During my time on Bonaire, I have done exploration, documentation, and research on the deep wrecks, caves and deep water reefs systems of the island and its surrounding waters.  I have planned and led dives that have opened up very interesting and exciting discoveries for technical diving on Bonaire. Opportunities that are still under investigation and exploration to this day.

My main goal is to keep promoting high quality education and support while continuing and leading the exploration on the most remote areas of the island. I know that there is so much more to discover, develop and find through technical diving.

Area9 Mastery Diving Research Center is a dream come true and the key to unlocking more well-preserved underwater secrets.
