I was born in the Netherlands where my sense of exploration let me abroad. When I was in New Zealand I tried this “exotic” activity called scuba diving, and I found a sense of Freedom and serenity that I had never really felt before. I completely fell in love with the sensation of being underwater, and decided to share this passion.

After teaching scuba-diving in Australia, Asia and Europe I moved to Bonaire. I really enjoy Bonaire for how easy it is to dive whenever, and with whoever you desire. This is where I became a GUE diver. The philosophies that GUE incorporates in their diving made me feel in control of every aspect of the dive. Something I didn’t know I missed despite already being an instructor.

These days you can find me in the water for any reason between single cylinder “fun” diving, and deep exploration dives on CCR.
